I began this work because I know what it feels like to be a woman with a deep, soul-rooted calling — and to be both afraid of your own power and unsure how to give it voice.
For years, I witnessed brilliant, soulful women dim their voices to fit into systems that were never built for us. Systems built on extraction, perfectionism, and disconnection — from our bodies, our truth, the Earth, and each other.
I saw change makers burning out trying to show up as the perfect professionals, spiritual entrepreneurs second-guessing every word, and wise leaders shrinking their medicine to fit into a box.
Their story was my own. And that of my maternal ancestors.
MEET YOUR MENTOR
ALEXANDRA RAQUEL
Like all of us, I have been shaped by colonization, patriarchy, and the pressure to prove my worth by doing more. But underneath it all, there has always been a knowing — a deeper pulse — whispering that there is another way.
Conectada was born from that whisper.
It’s a remembering. A reclamation.
A space for women to return to the sacred — to themselves.
Guided by my maternal Quechua lineage, feminist Earth-rooted values, and two decades of experience in storytelling, ceremony, and embodied transformation, I created Conectada to help women reconnect to their intuitive wisdom and step into soul-led leadership.
Conectada is not just about personal growth.
It’s about cultural healing — reweaving what’s been severed.
Through sacred ceremony, soul work, and resonant messaging, I support women to shed internalized patriarchal patterns we’ve internalized, embody who they truly are, and lead in ways that feel good, honest, and sustainable.
Because the world we long for will not be built through hustle or hollow branding — it will be woven through presence, truth, and courageous becoming.

FEATURED IN:
Alexandra Raquel Hughes is a Feminist Culture Weaver, soul guide, and the founder of Conectada — a cultural reclamation project devoted to reviving Earth-rooted feminine leadership through sacred ceremony, decolonial storytelling, and spiritual practice.
Born of mixed Quechua and Canadian settler ancestry, Alex’s work emerges from the fertile intersection of her Indigenous lineage, deep ecology, and over two decades of guiding women through embodied transformation. She is a trained Priestess and Ceremonialist, known for creating profound spaces of remembrance where women reconnect with their intuition, ancestral wisdom, and the cyclical rhythms of the Earth.
Alexandra is also an ethical brand messaging strategist, supporting soul-led women entrepreneurs to express their truth in a way that is emotionally resonant, values-aligned. With a degree in Environmental Studies and an MPhil in Development Studies, she brings both intellectual rigour and ancestral reverence to her practice.
Through offerings like her 13 Moons membership, private Soul Journeys, Seasonal Sacred Feminine Ceremonies and the WitchHunt Podcast, Alexandra invites visionary women into presence, ritual, and courageous becoming — affirming that the future we long for will not be built through extraction, but through reconnection.
Alex is a writer and published author. She’s also mother to 3 teens, has lived on 4 continents and speaks 4 language. Today she lives and works in Tkaronto (Toronto) on the ancestral territory of the Hodenosaunee, the Anishinaabe, the Mississaugas of the Credit, and the Wendat peoples.
