I began this work because I know what it feels like to be a woman with a deep, soul-rooted calling, and to yearn for spiritual guidance to give that calling voice.

For years, I witnessed brilliant, soulful women dim their voices to fit into systems that were never built for us. Systems built on extraction, perfectionism, and disconnection from our bodies, our truth, the Earth, and each other.

I saw change makers burning out trying to show up as the perfect professionals, spiritual entrepreneurs second-guessing every word, and wise leaders shrinking their medicine to fit into a box.

Their story was my own. And that of my maternal ancestors. This lived experience is what shaped me into a spiritual guide for women navigating power, visibility, and feminine leadership.

Like all of us, I have been shaped by colonization, patriarchy, and the pressure to prove my worth by doing more. But underneath it all, there has always been a knowing - a deeper pulse - whispering that there is another way.

Conectada was born from that whisper.

It’s a remembering. A reclamation.

A space for women to return to the sacred. To themselves.

Guided by my maternal Quechua lineage, feminist Earth-rooted values, and two decades of experience in storytelling, ceremony, and embodied transformation, I created Conectada to help women reconnect to their intuitive wisdom through grounded spiritual guidance, so they can step into soul-led feminine leadership.

Conectada is about cultural healing. Not just personal growth.

Through sacred ceremony, soul work, and resonant messaging, I offer spiritual guidance that supports women to shed internalized patriarchal patterns, embody who they truly are, and lead in ways that feel good, honest, and sustainable.

Honouring the teachings of those who came before us.

We carry with us the sacred lineages, stories, and Earth-based traditions that came before us — the ways of being and doing that were silenced, but never lost. Ancestral wisdom lives in our bones, in the Earth, and in the spaces in between, waiting to be remembered.

We honour the wisdom of the lineages the world needs now; traditions rooted in reciprocity, regeneration and collective care. This means listening across time, healing intergenerational wounds, and choosing to walk with reverence, so that we might become good ancestors for those yet to come.
02/ DEEP & SACRED ECOLOGY

Remembering our sacred union with the Earth.

We recognize Earth as a living being — an ancient intelligence, a sacred teacher and acknowledging that we are nature, not separate from it.
This means letting the Earthly and Cosmic rhythms guide how we work, create, and belong. It means valuing organic growth and rest as essential parts of evolution. And revering land as kin, while we root our leadership in reciprocity, and not domination.

Feminine power arises from deep listening, embodiment, relational wisdom and connection to self, to others, and to the Earth. It’s rooted, relational, and remembered.

Feminine sovereignty is our birthright to embody that power fully.
This means honouring our cycles, trusting the body as sacred, sovereign and wise. It means choosing spaciousness, listening to and speaking from the soul. It’s a power and sovereignty that nourishes not just ourselves, but the world we’re shaping.

Alexandra Raquel Hughes is a Feminist Culture Weaver, spiritual guide, and the founder of Conectada — a cultural reclamation project devoted to reviving Earth-rooted feminine leadership through sacred ceremony, ancestral healing, and embodied spiritual practice.

Born of mixed Quechua and Canadian settler ancestry, Alex’s work emerges at the intersection of Indigenous lineage, deep ecology, and over two decades of guiding women through embodied transformation. A trained Priestess and Ceremonialist, she is known for creating profound spaces of remembrance where women reconnect with their intuition, ancestral wisdom, and the cyclical rhythms of the Earth.

Her study of ancestral and beyond quantum healing, combined with a degree in Environmental Studies and an MPhil in Development Studies, allows her to bridge intellectual rigour with ancestral reverence.

Through offerings such as the 13 Moons membership, private Ancestral Soul Journeys, Bespoke Sacred Feminine Ceremonies, and the WitchHunt Podcast, Alexandra invites visionary women into presence, ritual, and courageous becoming — affirming that the future we long for will not be built through extraction, but through reconnection.

A writer and published author, Alex is also a mother of three teens, has lived on four continents, and speaks four languages. She currently lives and works in Tkaronto (Toronto) on the ancestral territory of the Haudenosaunee, the Anishinaabe, the Mississaugas of the Credit, and the Wendat peoples.
